Gantt Chart V3
Following some changes in plan and a review of our tasks we have made further changes to the Gantt Chart. We have taken out the Brother character and changed the scene slightly. We have also needed more time to prototype the demo scene and get the timing right. Having one less character to work on has enabled us to shovel some tasks around and we have now allocated time for getting the sound for the scene together, something we had previously not made time for. Evil Hand Mood Board
The hand is going to be boney, thin and creepy. The finger nails are going to look sharp but not be very long.

Gantt Chart V2
Due to absence, we do not have any final art designs at this point. However, we avoided a bottleneck in our workflow by creating a dummy scene for our animation, deciding on camera angles using this and by creating a prototype animation.
This was time well invested as we will avoid future problems with this pro-active approach and we continued working despite not having our art work.
We have updated our Gantt chart to reflect this.

StoryBoard
Today we used our white box room to decide on the scales of the room and objects. We were also able to discuss camera angles and create a story board.

Room Layout Whitebox
This is a basic layout of our room using primitives. We will use this to play around with scales and sizes of objects until we are happy with them. We will then based our final models on these dimensions. We will also use this room to make a prototype of our scene to get the timing and the camera angles right.
Further Inspiration
Art Inspiration
We have looked at the art styles of three different artists. We have found their styles to match the ideas we had. We want to draw inspiration from the following images.
Tim Burton
Chuck Jones
Dr Seuss
Character Personalities
These are some of the Characters personality traits to help our Artist come up with the final Character design.

Furniture Sketches 1
Here are some sketches for the furniture. The shapes are warped and twisted. Perhaps they are only this way because the small girl in our scene is scared and the room seems stranger than usual. Maybe in normal circumstances everything is straight and symmetrical.
Character sketches 1
Some Ideas for how the characters could look in our animation. I took inspiration from several other drawings of young children and looked at a brief tutorial for tips.

Gantt Chart
This is the first Draft of our Gantt chart. We are trying to ensure that everyone has work to do at all times. We have left a week spare at the end for small touch ups if need be.
Moodboard 1
This is one of the first moodboards for our animation. We are going for a cartoon style inspired by 3D animations such as Monster House, Paranorman and Tim Burton animations.
We will all be working on sketches before our artist works on the final designs.
